When it comes to stories that have touched my life in some way my pen falls short. I think of all the small little moments that have shaped my life thus, far and I can't just think of one. So today I'm going to write about someone else's life story that I've heard recently that made me appreciate my life little more. Everyone thinks they got it bad until they hear someone else’s story. Sometimes we don’t get to choose when we hear someone’s story. It was just normal day at Fullerton College .I had hour before my next class and wanted to grab something to eat. I was crossing the street from subway when this girl approached me. She had dark brown curly hair and was wearing a black shirt. She looked a little worn out but, overall just average student. She asked if I had a quarter. I told her I didn’t .I then asked if she needed it for parking pass and she said no. She just wanted something to eat.
That when she began telling me her life story. She told me she was living in her sister's car and can’t go back home cause her parents are abusive. To be honest there was nothing I could do and she didn’t want to get anyone involved. She seemed pretty nice and I shared little about my life too. As I was about to leave I told her to take care of herself and be careful. This moment just made me appreciate my life more. I know my life can be tough at times but , I'm lucky I have home to go back to, food to eat , and I'm safe.
i really like the way you wrote the first paragraph. it was interestingly written and it was super deep. you are a good writer, keep it up!
ReplyDeletePretty much the whole reflection is very deep. I especially feel the second paragraph. It must of been hard seeing the girl at her lowest moment. To be honest i wouldn't know what to do either just encourage her and pray that things get better for her. But i appreciate the way you write its very nice and descriptive.
